How do I...
Make An Appointment?
The surgery now accepts appointments booked
online through EMIS Access. This new service allows you to view, book and cancel
GP appointments. Ask at
reception for a registration form.
Appointments can be made with our receptionists by calling at the surgery
or by telephoning 028 9056 3362. Please make one appointment per person to be
seen. The length of all single appointments is 10 minutes. If you cannot attend
for your appointment, please let us know, so that we can allocate it to someone
else. You can choose to see any doctor in the practice, not necessarily the one
with whom you are registered. In the case of an urgent problem, when you cannot
wait until the next free appointment to be seen, you may be offered a telephone
consultation with a doctor.
We endeavour to accommodate any patient who wishes to consult with a doctor within
24 hours. On weekdays patients with a non-urgent problem should normally be able
to see a GP within two working days. Appointments to see a specific GP will depend
on the demands of that GP at that time. Patients with an urgent problem will
be able to see a GP as soon as possible that day. Emergencies are given priority
and immediate care given where appropriate.
How do I...
Obtain A Home Visit?
Patients are requested to telephone before 10.00am if a visit is required
that day. Emergency visits only will be arranged after that time. Please give
the receptionist as much information as possible to enable the doctor to allocate
priority house calls. Please remember that four to five patients can be seen
at the surgery in the time it takes to do a home visit. Home visits are usually
limited to the elderly who through illness would not be able to come to the surgery.
How do I...
Obtain Test Results?
Please telephone 028 9056 3362 between 10.00am and 12 noon Monday to Friday
(please allow sufficient time for the test results or hospital tests to reach
us).
